Misha, your life is a vivid confirmation that a woman can create not only her own destiny, but also a family, and an empire – all on her own. Tell us about your childhood. How did you start your way to success?
My past may have been filled with instability, but that only made me stronger. As a child, together with my mother, I fled our communist country in search of a better life. We traveled through Europe and eventually ended up in the United States where I had to learn German before English. I never had a permanent home, but I didn’t let that bring me down. Instead, I used my experiences to fuel my drive and work ethic. I am proof that you can take the hard times and use them as a stepping stone toward success.
